Music, food and drink can all be provided and the celebration can be tailored exactly to your needs. Cruising times can be anything from one hour to a full day. Prices are varied according to your requirements and the number of people attending your celebration with a basic birthday celebration for two, including birthday cake and all soft drinks, is priced at 100 egyptian pounds per person for a one hour cruise. Longer cruising times and additional guests will reflect a lower hourly charge. For example, a party of 6 sailing for 3 hours on the basic package would be charged at 150 egyptian pounds per person. Enjoy a full day sailing with us with a traditional Egyptian lunch cooked on the boat and eaten either on the boat or picnic style on the river bank. We will spend some time anchored at the river bank so that you can take a walk along the banks and enjoy the local scenery or just relax and take in the sunshine and peace. Live music will be provided with singing and dancing and the musicians may join us on the boat or may join us while we are anchored. Either way, you can enjoy traditional music and dancing and you will be encouraged to join in. We aim to provide good food, music, dancing and a perfect fun filled day to add to your holiday memories! Don’t forget to bring your camera and video! This full day of sailing with lunch provided is a simple way of enjoying this magnificent river. We leave Luxor mid morning and sail southwards past the hotels and resorts on one side and the biblical scenery of the West Bank on the other side. The day is yours to decide when and where we go, we can stop by the banks and you can take a walk, or you can visit an Egyptian family to partake of their wonderful hospitality. You can take a ride on a camel or a horse while the boat waits to take you back to your hotel. Or you can just sail the day away and relax far away from the stresses of your daily lives. In addition to the above packages we can also offer simple sailings for any length of time to suit your needs. If all you need to do is enjoy this timeless river at your own pace you can simply book the boat and the crew by the hour. We also have larger boats available for those large groups who wish to sail in the footsteps of the Pharoahs without losing the ability to spread out and laze around on the deck.
Although we do not own our own dahabiya or sandal, we do have access to some very special boats that can sail you in style and comfort southwards down the timeless River Nile, stopping off at many of the remote historical and sacred sites which the larger river cruise boats are unable to visit. You may find yourself at the temple at Gebel El Silsila completely alone. Imagine the solitude and feel the silence as you stand with your back to the river gazing at the temple. We spend our nights dining on the river bank under a sky filled with a myriad of stars, beneath a perfect moon. Light pollution is unheard of here.
